Zhao Qi, Ph.D.

Dr. Qi Zhao is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore. She received the B.E. degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, China, in 2004, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Prior to joining NUS, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Computation & Neural Systems, and Division of Biology at the California Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011. In 2007 and 2008, she worked as a research intern at Microsoft Research Redmond, and Google Research New York.

Her current research interests include computational visual cognition, neuromorphic visual models and systems, computer vision, machine learning, and computational neuroscience. She is a member of the IEEE and currently serves as an associate editor for the International Journal of Image and Graphics.
