Venkatesh Hosmane Ramakrishna, M.S.

Hosmane Ramakrishna Venkatesh is a graduate of the National University of Singapore, where he completed his M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics (2012). Previously, he received his B.E. degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University in Electronics and Communications Engineering (2011). During his undergraduate studies, he was a student member of the IEEE society for 3 years and has organized various IEEE annual meets at his college. One of co-authored papers on "Differences in Human and Prosthetic Hand based on Tactile Feedback" has been nominated for the Best Student Paper Award at the World Conference of Engineering 2012 at London organized by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) society. He serves as a technical reviewer for the International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR) every year. He has worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Social Robotics Lab at National University of Singapore on analyzing the kinematics and dynamics involved during a human handshake taking into account tactile information, joint angle data with motion tracking. Venkatesh's research interests include prosthetic limbs, signal processing, and biomedical instrumentation for global health.
